All Branches will be closed Saturday 30th May and Monday 1st June, trading will recommence Tuesday 2nd June as per usual.
Below is a little bit of history on WA Day.
In 2012 Western Australian Government renamed what was Foundation Day to WA Day in recognition of the diverse nature of the Western Australian community and its complex history.
The public holiday falls on the first Monday of June each year.
This date is based around the arrival in Cockburn Sound of the first free European settlers aboard the Parmelia, led by Captain Stirling on June 1st 1829. These Colonists first set up on Garden Island and only moved to the mainland after further exploration.
